Overcoming the "automation" of HP

Sep 19, 2026

All of a sudden, the printer started printing yesterday. So I now have only a few days to change my payment method to a new charge card. 2 minutes on a voice call would solve all, but I'm doubtful that they will answer or call me back.

All-In-One Plan — HP accepted fault but did nothing

Aug 20, 2026

I signed up for the all-in-one plan for my business. Nearly 2 weeks went by and my printer never arrived. I was told there was an error in my account and that I would need to cancel and create a new one. HP is the one that screwed up — they accepted fault — but they are willing to do nothing to make a concession or make this right.

Rip off artists

Aug 04, 2026

I purchased a printer on 10/22/25. My warranty goes until 10/22/27. With many hours and phone calls over the months, the techs wanted to blame the internet connection. They will continue to charge me $8.99 until 10/22/27 — it's the process they say. HP is a rip-off. Don't buy; you're obligated to pay for a long time.

Tech person had me send pictures and then disconnected

Jun 30, 2026

5-month-old 7975 All in One printer. I put new ink in (H/P ink) the colour was bad and it skipped. I was sending pictures back to tech, reversed to the new ink, and continued to follow the tech's directions. H/P had my contact info and when I was disconnected, no callback.

Remote session claimed a Trojan and demanded $300

Jul 23, 2026

I used chat to get an answer about my hp8120 email. After he was in my computer virtually, he said I had a Trojan virus. He told me I had to buy a $300 virus protection plan. My credit card company instantly flagged it as fraudulent. Two hours total and nothing was resolved.

I'm fed up with my printer

Aug 30, 2026

I had an older HP 6000 series printer for 15 years. It worked perfectly. Now I have an HP Envy 6000e. It is the most temperamental piece of equipment I've ever had. There's always something wrong to correct. Wish you would keep things simple instead of making machines so complex.
